A nice, late-maturing peach. Hangs well on the tree. Large, 3-inch diameter fruit has a handsome 75% red-over-bright-yellow skin color. Yellow flesh is melting with an irresistible acidic tang that is familiar in Southern peaches. Originates from Byron, Georgia. Introduced in 1993. Disease-resistant to bacterial spot. Freestone. Ripens in late August. Self-pollinating.
